Unit 1: Chemistry of Life — One-Page Guide + Fill-In
The full Unit 1 page from the Units 1–8 set, plus its student fill-in. See the format before you buy anything.
The 2025 Course and Exam Description reorganized Unit 1 and moved photosynthesis and respiration across Units 2–3. Most review material still hasn't caught up. Every guide here is written and checked against the current framework — then audited line by line before it ships.
Every claim is checked against the 2025 CED — and against the archived 2019 CED before we say anything “changed.”
Guides ship with a student fill-in variant plus the completed key, so one file covers class and review.
Designed to hold up at one page per unit — readable in black and white, no reformatting.

Living Environment was last administered in June 2026. The crosswalk shows exactly what changed in the move to Life Science: Biology; the free one-pager is the sheet to hand a department. When a student changes districts, the free attestation form carries their Investigation record to the new district.
One page: what ended, what replaced it, and the dates that matter. Print it, hand it out, staple it to the agenda.
When a student who has completed Investigations moves to another New York district, the record has to move too. NYSED’s FAQ describes the attestation but doesn’t include a form. Here is one.

Second Nature Science is a one-person shop run by a certified biology teacher. The premise is narrow on purpose: AP® Biology changed in 2025, most review material didn't, and a study guide that quietly teaches the old unit order costs students time they don't have in April.
So every resource here starts from the current Course and Exam Description, gets checked against the archived 2019 edition before any “what changed” claim is made, and gets a full audit pass before it goes on sale. Nothing reproduces College Board text — framework statements are paraphrased, and only code numbers and short titles appear, for lookup.
